Illustrator. Animator. SFX Artist.
…Fan of big robots.

Konstantin Kahl, is freelance artist born and raised in New York City, and currently making his home in Bushwick, Brooklyn. While he’s dabbled in just about every visual arts medium he could get his hands on throughout his life, since graduating from Hampshire College in 2016 he’s been focusing largely on digital illustration, animation, and Special FX makeup. Since 2018, he’s been freelancing with larger ed tech companies and individual clients alike, working on any projects in need of his creative experience.

Konstantin’s professional work has included digital illustration, writing and designing for social media campaigns, comic illustration, animation, character design and concept art, mask and props crafting, sculpture, SFX makeup, lifecasting, costume electronics and pumpkin carving. When he’s not working on a current project, he’s usually daydreaming about characters, creatures and landscapes for projects down the line, or the comic project he’s been developing in his spare time. Konstantin is always looking to further develop his existing skill sets, and is never afraid to pick up a new skill when a job calls for it.

In his free time Konstantin enjoys playing video games, rollerblading, and reading sci-fi books or comics. When he’s not working, he’s likely got another costume or makeup project well under way for next Halloween.
