Paper Education Company

For over 2 years between 2021–2023, Konstantin worked as a contractor for Paper Education Company on the Creative Team, creating a wide variety of character designs, images and animations for their social media, marketing materials, and internal use. One of his biggest projects involved the illustrating and redesigning of a cast of characters referred to as the “Paper Pals”. While his work for Paper covered a wide breadth of projects and use cases, it most often involved creating illustrations, animations, and character designs to elevate Paper’s playful and friendly brand personality.

Concept Art

All of Konstantin’s artwork has always begun with a sketch. Konstantin always tries to achieve a strong sense of character, whether it’s in the human form or more conceptual designs. Expression comes in many forms, and whether its creating a new character, an atmospheric setting, or a frozen moment of action, Konstantin’s work always attempts to convey a sense of potent emotion. He loves a bold, simple silhouette just as much as a scene of endless minutia, and always aims to create layers of detail that build upon the story of a given design. While not every idea that he imagines can be fully executed, creating sketches and concept art gives him the chance to see what ideas are worth diving deeper into, and has always been one of Konstantin’s favorite stages of the creation process.
